Having no tele is driving me crazy! Mind you, there are tons of things to do but none as mindless and enchanting as wasting your life away while paying someone else to be famous. I guess in all fairness I really don't have a problem with watching television except between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. If I can make it through that time period then I'm fine. And it's not even that there is anything on that is worth watching. It's just the utter mindlessness of the whole thing. I figure it's like any other annoying and addicting habit, give it a week or so and you are usually on the road to wellville. Oh sure, you may have flashbacks of Kimberely Locke singing "It's Raining Men" or of Buffy sexing up Spike but at least they are just memories. So what if I can't watch the Charmed Ones battle demons in next to nothing. So what if I can't see Paige get on Ty's case because he's wanking off in the van. My life won't end.

I'm quite sure it won't anyway. I think.

Wouldn't that be a shocker if it did. What if television was the only thing that keeps you alive? What if we've all been mistaken and it's not oxygen and mitochondria? What if it actually is television?? I'd be screwed! Come to think of it, I have been finding it hard to breathe lately. I've been feeling a bit "under the weather". I just thought it was withdrawals but maybe I'm actually experiencing the death throes that come at the end of one's life. Oh no...I'm scared. What if I'm dying???

I have to watch tv! That's it...must...watch...tv!! NO! I won't!! I'd rather die knowing I am strong than live knowing I am weak.

..:: Ahem ::..

...er...sorry.

As you can see, I have waaaaayyy too much time on my hands. And school's not even out yet. And I'm planning on taking the summer off! Lord it's going to be one hell of a summer.

I finally learned how to tie a bandana today. You would think that it wouldn't be such a feat for someone who can write code and drive and stuff but in all the years I've been tying my bandanas I've apparently been doing it wrong. I thought it didn't feel right. Turns out it wasn't. So, now, I'm all set. I can hang with the best of them. I can tie my bandana on my head in my sleep.

Now all I need is a bike. And a moustache.

And a life.

I've gotta go...this is getting weird.

Ciao.

The cookout was grand. I stayed up way late and mingled with everyone next door. Holly henna-tattooed my hand. She did a great job seeing as it was her first time. That's a good thing since it will last a couple of weeks...depending how much I wash it and how much I masterb...oh nevermind..heh.

Anyway, a new rule was add to the Lodato-Sutton household: No television for the summer! Yes folks, you read it right. We disconnected the cable on Saturday and we will only be allowed to watch DVDs or go out to the movies. No cable...no Buffy...no Charmed(!!), no Will & Grace, no any shows that I am completely addicted to yet would pretend that I never watched. Me? Nah...I never watch television! Yeah...right...whatever. So for real now I will not be watching television. Anth and I are going to have to find something else to amuse us. Things like going outside or playing games or drawing or writing or going to bed at 6 pm because we are bored out of our skulls. We can do it. I know we can.

I also know that as soon as Anth is in the house by himself he will connect the cable up and watch television. Oh well, as long as it's off when I come home we're good to go.

There's only two more weeks of school left. Really there's only one because next week is finals and I only have the two classes left. Then I graduate! Then I get the whole summer off! To do nothing! Except have fun! WoOt!

Anth is on his way home so I'm going to start making dinner. That's another thing that's changed. We are buying canned and packaged items again. I figure since I'm in college and we are a one income household that we should eat appropriately and within our means. I'm tired of dropping a fortune at Earth Fare. We spent multi-thousands of dollars there in the last couple of years and I just don't feel like supporting them anymore. We will still be buying our perishables, meats, and cleaners from them but other than that it's good ol' Bi-Lo and Sam's Club. They'll do until I open my own practice and we can afford to eat healthy. Until then it's clogged arteries and heart attacks just like the rest of America. If I'm forced to admit I'm one I might as well die like one.

Night!

Where has the time gone? What a weekend. There's still much to do so I'm only updating really quick while Anth is finishing the lawn.

Friday and Saturday Anth and I camped in our new tent in the backyard. Yeah yeah I know, but it was major for me. I'd never been camping before in my life and I wanted to try it out before I was actually in the middle of nowhere. I loved it! We had a blast! We plan on going to Graveyard Fields next weekend and camp for real.

Today Anth, Tom, and I went to see the Asheville Tourists play. It was volunteer appreciation day so I got us the tickets for free. I haven't been to a ballgame in for like ever so it was a great time. We ate a bunch of shit...dipping dots, funnel cakes, french fries (yes FRENCH), soda out the whazzoo, cotton candy...yum!! Oh, and we won!

Ok, time for the cookout at the neighbors. See ya! More later! Much later!

Ciao.
